They have security at the door that will no t let you in no matter the circumstances without an appointment. I can’t say enough good things about this operation but I also want to help someone who needs to get an appointment! First: you will absolutely no expectations be let into the agency without an appointment. I was so anxious about getting my passport in time for my flight the next day but my appointment was at 8:00am I was the first one in and will have my passport by 10:30. The staff is so kind and professional and the operation is insanely efficient. I know from my experience they are working hard for us, so please be patient with the staff as well as with waiting. I just want to give a heads up to people visiting, it may take several hours of waiting here to get what you need, but just think about how many people they are processing in one day and I'm sure others have difficult situations like mine too. To be honest, even if she wasn't able to succeed, I still would have given Helen and this office a 5 star review because I saw how hard she tried and communicated it all with me. After hours of hard work she was able to succeed and helped me get what I needed. It was at that point where most people would have just told me “it's too late now”, but instead Helen went out of her way, worked with many other colle agues and supervisors, including trying to stop outgoing mail, to help me out. She went way above and beyond on a complicated problem I was having with getting an emergency passport. I want to give a special shout out to Helen who works here. I never thought I would be writing such a high review about a federal office, but the professionalism and care of the staff here have really changed my thoughts on a government agency. On another note- they are issuing the new passports and they are nice! … – show we would’ve left and enjoyed a meal or opted to do something -outside of that waiting area. It became very packed and there was no distancing. Having a system to keep you updated would also reduce the crowd inside. We had a lot of people come in hours after us and leave before us. Instead you just sit there wondering when you’ll be called. They should create a system that says you’re in the queue, processing, finishing, etc. No warning that it would be that long! With today’s technology, there should be a way for them to let you know where you are in the process. We didn’t want to leave to eat because we were worried they’d call while we were out. We were an 8:30am appt and didn’t leave until almost 3. Kudos to the scheduling agent who saw the opening and booked it quickly for us! Our main complaint was the all day wait. My son and I were happy to finally get an appointment at this location to renew our passports.
